Can you install a dog door in a sliding patio door?
we have a sliding patio door without a screen is it possible to put a dog door in it somehow?

ya, i would like to see what it looks like if u r closing the door and the dog goes for the doggie door! THWAP! lol!
we have one installed in our sliding screen door, it works fine. I’ve never seen one in a glass sliding door though.
Absolutely, They make custom panels that can fit into your existing patio door. Some of them have electric or automatic dog doors built right into them. They dont take too much effort to install. http://sclewis.blogspot.com
It might be possible if you can cut through the glass without breaking it and then use a really good glue instead of screws to install it.
with glass it would be tricky…commonly the cheapest way are the one installed on the screen portion or one build next to the patio door thru the walls which are custom and a lot more expensive.
