@phudukabari? I think you will find that the sub-pump is going to over heat sooner or later. generally
sub- pumps are water cooled on the motor…. I could be wrong there are so many types. any feedback?

  2. AquaponicLynx

is there any danger of microbubbles or super saturation that could hurt your fish doing this?
Does the cavitation caused by the? air bubbling into the impeller cause damage? How long have you been running like this, how long will the pump last doing it this way rather than a venturi after the pump?

@Mr1SUPERB i already bought small one? @ebay 150watts and run like almost the same. So which pump did you get? Awesome design oh so simple now I need the correct pump.
Have a sump with a grill I get a little bubble but noting like this.

  4. Mr1SUPERB

@phudukabari yes!! you can use submersible? pump make sure had one whole intake not multiple grill ..the air is from atmosphere

  5. phudukabari

Great work man. Very impressive. My blower went out on me and i had been mustering courage to buy a new one. Darn things are so expensive. I just wanted to ask if the same concept can be replicated to? a submersible, rather than a sump pump, say 5000 gph. Sitting in the part of world where i live, its not easy to get a sump pump. Other question I wanted to ask was that the pump, which you have made, is simply sucking air from atmosphere, right?

    @Mr1SUPERB ………. ? …………….why mine not sucking air?………………..
    problem:
a…you drill to big for tube connection / water still passing through…
    fixed:
b… use teflon tape / silicon around the bolt thread
    problem:
a…you drill to close to water outtake
    fixed:
b…check the propeller turns / opposite side

multiple grills intake –not going to work..period

  7. SuperMac1980

@Mr1SUPERB the pump details are as follows: . SUBMERSIBLE WATER PUMP 500W (SILVERLINE C)

CAN BE SUBMERGED TO 5M & PUMPS WATER UP TO 6M ABOVE PUMP POSTION
FLOAT SWITCH, MAX FLOW RATE 12000 ltr/hr,ACCEPTS FLOATING SOLIDS UP TO 20mm,

we drilled the air tube as shown? in your video directly into the water intake and added a tap as instructed

  8. Mr1SUPERB

@SuperMac1980 what kind of s-pump do you have? i need model? and make,,,,, did you drill right next to water outtake ?

  14. Marabu88

Wow,? awesome, just great… electric bill :D
Thats what you gonna have after running this device non stop.

  15. rolyf100

How many gallons are you aerating and what is your fish load and water temperature?
Frankly, though I do appreciate your engineering and craftsmanship, I think it is a little bit of overkill. ? It would cost me, in NH, about a hundred bucks a month to run that thing!
If you are a commercial grower then you need something like that, but for we hobbyists it seems a bit much.
Not knocking, just asking for comments.

  16. chacoal

@Duhitpt i think it will work i was thinkin about? that today, and the pump looks strong enough

  17. Mr1SUPERB

@doremonpal ……..i think you have one of those multiple intake grill if yes thats not going to work ,unless you cover the side ,bottom and live one big? intake hole like you see on my video

  18. doremonpal

@Mr1SUPERB i tried today? but it didn’t work like yours, i have a Jabao 4250 gal/hour sub pump, i drilled the hole but it doesn’t seem to suck in the air, wondering what’s wrong ? does it have to be a sump pump? cause my pump use some kinda vortex flow, don’t know if that could be the problem… or i have to get a sump pump? and does the height matter? cause i lift about 4 feet
