I found a baby toad and I want to release him but ?
I found him in my backyard on my patio. There are no creeks around and we have no ponds or water gardens so I don't know where came from. Should I drive to a nearby park and let him go there where there is a creek?
He was a cuuuute little guy but I feel better since I let him go back where I found him. :)

Toad meat might be a pretty interesting experience for you. Look for some recipes and tutorials online, and proceed as instructed.

You could if you want to. However, toads, unlike frogs live in a comparatively drier place, and it might be completely happy in your garden.
Toads are more terrestrial than frogs (once past the tadpole stage, toads spend little to no time in water), so it’s pretty common to find them in gardens, beneath decks, etc. But it couldn’t hurt to move it to a more secluded location if there’s a chance it might get stepped on or run over with a lawn mover.
We get them in our patio as well.
We release them near our garden. They like bugs, so we view them as a natural pesticide.
Toads generally don’t enjoy aquatic environments, and since you found it on your patio, then if you let him go where you found him (or something like that) then he would probably be happy.
Putting him in a protected park would be perfect for him, especially near the water.
