Pros:
You will have a nice pond in the yard
You can watch the fish
Birds will probably use the pond too
You could add a waterfall at some point to have the relaxing sound of running water
Cons
You have to keep it clean and free of leaves and other debris
Keep the fish fed & alive
Make sure the pond doesn’t leak
A friend of mine has a pond in her back yard (that she put in last summer) and she had some Koi fish that she is raising. They made it through the winter just fine.
Good Luck!! I’m sure that you will enjoy the pond once it’s been put in.

My sister has A pond in her back yard they are kool
to kick back by and get a BU ZZZ on by.
The only problems is the predators here in LA COUNTY….
Raccoons,Feral CATS, and the Blue HERONS and the Pellicans that have tried to hit the COY and gold fish that are in it. other than that I like them.. My sisters pond is 3′ deep and 10′ in diameter with A water fall tippy rocks lily pads
and frogs.. Her and her BF both work in the Film Industry
and they built it them selves. I call it the 100,000 GRAND
POND. Between the both of them and their time and
what they make an hour combined it cost in their labor 65,000 and all the pump fish water plants ETC. $ 103,000.
I am going over and enjoying it at 5 pm.
