I see lots of outdoor koi ponds but not many indoor ponds. What is the difference?

I would recommend outdoor. It makes the fish’s environment more safer and easier to breath in. Surround it by plants. You can put it inside but make sure there is lots of air and plants. I would go inside. Koi were always born outside in the waters. They were once free until they captivated. Have fun :)
Koi need lotsa room..A minimum of 3 feet deep and 6 feet wide. About 1200+ gallons of water. If you can do that in your home..great.
