When I light my patio heater the inside and area below the burner catch on fire?
I just fixed the pilot light and that seems to work fine now. Also just replaced the regulator and propane tank.

If it works sort of like a gas grill (where the gas passes through a venturi and draws in air before going on to the burner) I suspect you will find the venturi clogged with spider webs (quite often happens when things sit idle for a while). See if you can get a wire up in there and clear it out. It could also be that the burner has rusted out and has a big crack/hole in it.
